Wissenschaftler*innen haben das sechste große Massenaussterben der Erdgeschichte ausgerufen. Doch alle schauen weg! Politik und Medien ignorieren das Thema und gefährden unsere Zukunft.
Das wollen wir ändern. Wir laden dich herzlich zu dem Offenen Dialog “Notstand Artensterben” ein. Was steht an?

Die Konferenz ist offen, für alle die sich für das Thema interessieren und aktiv werden wollen: egal ob du an der Uni zur Biodiversität forschst oder noch wenig über die Probleme weißt- komm dazu und informiere dich!

Top-Wissenschaftler*innen berichten über das Artensterben. Dann geht's in Kleingruppen, um an konkreten Projekten zu arbeiten.

• Thomas Mohrs, Professor für angewandte Ethik der Ernährung an der Uni Linz Thema: "Ernährung und Artensterben".
• Dr. Vreni Häussermann, Biologin und Unterwasserforscherin in Patagonien, Thema: "Artensterben in den Ozeanen".
• Günter Forsterra, Meeresbiologe und Forschungsdozent, Thema: "Das Versagen von Wissenschaft und Medien"

🐝 Species Extinction Emergency Conference 🐝

Scientists have declared the sixth great mass extinction in the history of the earth. But everyone looks the other way! Politics and the media ignore the issue and endanger our future.
We want to change that. We cordially invite you to the expert dialogue "State of emergency: extinction of species". What is on the agenda?

The conference is open to everyone who is interested in the topic and wants to get active: no matter if you are doing research on biodiversity at university or if you don't know much about the problems - come and get informed!

Top scientists will report on the extinction of species. Then it's off to small groups to work on concrete projects.
Speakers:

• Thomas Mohrs, Professor for Applied Ethics of Nutrition at the University of Linz Topic: "Nutrition and Species Extinction".
• Dr. Vreni Häussermann, biologist and underwater researcher in Patagonia, topic: "Species extinction in the oceans".
• Günter Forsterra, marine biologist and research lecturer, topic: "The failure of science and the media".
