🕒 WHEN?
The training will take place on Saturday 2nd of July 2022 and will last around half the day.
📍 WHERE?
The event is to be held offline at the Evangelische Studierendengemeinde Magdeburg (ESG).

🗒️ REGISTER!
Registration is required for the event as places are limited (around 20). Just send an email to magdeburg@extinctionrebellion.de (PGP key here) - or a PM if you already have contact with us - to register.
If all places are taken, we will announce it here on the website as soon as possible. Further registrations will then move to a waiting list and might be used for the announcement of trainings in the future. Currently around 10 places are available (as of June 24th).
📋 TOPICS/PROCEDURE
This training will touch the basics of the concept of nonviolent communication (designed by Marshall Rosenberg) and will be held in English. There will be a longer break midday.
Nonviolent communication shifts the focus onto feelings & needs, yours and of the people around you. This helps you to understand and connect to the people to find a way to act in a fulfilling way for everybody. We are going to do different exercises and learning by doing. The exercises may help you in your everyday life and your activism. We hope that our vision, how the world can be, will get us all an inspiring training.
...and feel free to ask your questions in between! Or if you have specific questions you wanna speak about or certain situations you wanna use nonviolent communication, let us know (beforehand or in the beginning of the event).
🐣 KNOW BEFORE?
You don't need to know Extinction Rebellion (XR) to participate in the non-violent communication (NVC) workshop, as we will briefly introduce ourselves again at the beginning of the event.
Also there is no need of previous knowledge of NVC. However it may help to already know some things.
🥗 LUNCH BREAK?
We will have a longer lunch break and multiple smaller breaks. A vegan lunch meal will be prepared and offered to all participants for free. But you are also welcome to bring your own food.
Also don't forget your own water bottle or similar. Cups and glasses can be provided by the location if you don't want to bring any.
⚠️😷 CORONA?!
We encourage participants to test themselves so everyone can feel safe during the 6 hours of the workshop.
The inner courtyard (partly roofed) will allow us to be outside most of the time so that masks are not mandatory. However please bring a mask, just in case of uncomfortable weather or something else.
