Demo for Peru

We call on the Peruvian and Abya Yala community in Berlin and throughout Germany, as well as all the international organizations that stand in solidarity with the struggle of the indigenous and rural peoples of Peru, to the demonstration that will take place on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Embassy of Peru in Berlin (Taubenstrasse 20) and that will later go to the Brandenburg Gate.

WE DENOUNCE before the international community the total impunity with which the human rights of the protesters are being violated.

WE DEMAND the cessation of the brutal repression and militarization of the country, which has already taken the lives of more than 60 people, mainly indigenous protestors (among them minors).

Additionally, WE SUPPORT the demands of our brothers and sisters in Peru: the immediate resignation of President Dina Boluarte and the board of the Presidency of the Congress, a way out of the crisis through the immediate call for new national elections by a government of democratic transition, the call for a referendum for a Constitutional Assembly, the release of those illegally detained and JUSTICE for the victims.

Convocamos a la comunidad peruana y del Abya Yala en Berlín y en toda Alemania, así como a todas las organizaciones internacionales que se solidarizan con la lucha de los pueblos indígenas y rurales del Perú, a la manifestación que se realizará el sábado 28 de enero del 2023 a las 14:00 h en la Embajada del Perú en Berlín (Taubenstrasse 20) y que se dirigirá posteriormente hacia la Puerta de Brandenburgo.

DENUNCIAMOS ante la comunidad internacional la total impunidad con la que se vienen violando los derechos humanos de los manifestantes.

Por eso, EXIGIMOS el cese de la brutal represión y militarización del país, que ya ha cobrado la vida de más de 60 personas, principalmente campesinxs indígenas (entre ellos menores de edad).

Asimismo, RESPALDAMOS las demandas de nuestrxs hermanxs en Perú: la inmediata renuncia de la Presidenta Dina Boluarte y la mesa directiva del Congreso de la República, una salida a la crisis a través de la convocatoria inmediata a nuevas Elecciones Generales por un Gobierno de transición democrática, la convocatoria a un referéndum para una Asamblea Constituyente, la liberación de lxs detenidxs arbitrariamente y JUSTICIA para las víctimas.
